1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 real matching 4-speed Muncie/Hurst!

One of the best-styled American performance cars from the early 1970s, the second-generation Camaro.

This is a well preserved original and matching number car!

The former owner (from Scandinavia) owned the Z/28 for 36 years! In that time he took extremely good care of it.

The underside of the car is still original red-oxide primed which proofs that it’s well preserved over the years. Fact: the 1973 Z28 body’s from the Norwood plant were dipped in a tank. The primer was negative charged for a better adhesion.

The black paint with red striping (under the clearcoat) is as deep and shiny as you like. It’s repainted a long time ago in an European quality (9 out of 10)

The combination of menacing good looks and encouraging road-handling characteristics made the Camaro coveted by Chevy and muscle-car fans everywhere.

The Z28 was always the ultimate iteration, with 11,574 produced in 1973.

The Z/28 was a performance option created specifically so the Camaro could be more competitive in the SCCA’s Trans-Am series.

“Its 245-hp V-8 is plenty for some seriously fun driving. It feels peppy, and the sound of the exhaust has that low rumble, but once you reach 65 mph, it has a high-revving sound. The ride is sporty, and it accelerates well out of the turns. The limited-slip differential makes that chirping tire sound when turning from a stop light, just to let you know this car can move.

“The steering is precise, and the front and rear anti-roll bars allow it to hug the turns. If you turn into a corner, the car exits the turn better when you accelerate. It sort of squats down and levels out.

Transmission

The M21 manual four-speed transmission with Hurst shifter is delightful. Finding a new gear is like chucking a ball into an old baseball glove. It has its own memory of exactly what it’s supposed to do from the zillions of times before. The throws are long, but they fit the character of the car so well.

The overall technical condition is great, this Z needs nothing!
