Pantera pre L “Lusso” an Italian – American Icon

Build February sold september 1972 makes this Pantera referred to as ‘Pre-L’ meaning ‘Pre-Lusso’ (‘Luxury’) in Italian.
It became Road Test Magazine’s, Car of the Year in 1973; meaning it beat its competition which included Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche amongst others.
#2606 originaly delivered from dealer Cerrullo Motors New York USA moved to Ontario – Canada where the  restoration and modification process started from the early nineties untill today. We recently applied a black satin wrap on the hood and decklid, and OEM Pantera GTS stickers.
This Pantera is not stock, it’s way better – goosebumps allover!
Paint:
  • car completely stripped and body work completed by Steve Paules from Ontario. It has custom 18 coats of orange pearl and candy.
Engine:
  • Original #matching 351 Cleveland Boss R-code overhauled, big rough idle Crane cam, Armandos racing oil pan, ceramic coated headers, Holley street avenger carburator, big bore Hall Pantera mufflers (we have the original mufflers new also) Hall Pantera very rare overhead cast aluminum cam valve covers, intake, valve covers and bellhouse are powder coated, new fuel tank, new motor mount bushings etc.
Electronics:
  • new MSD Pro Billet distributor (2021)

  • new chromed heavy duty half shafts by Hall Pantera
Chassis:
  • new stiffener kit for upper and lower engine bay
  • new stiffener kit for front hatch and lower front chassis
  • new 2” floor pan drop (driver to 2m1 / 6.5 foot fit in this car)
  • new lower chassis stripped and repaired
  • new all control arms and torsion bars powder coated
  • sprayed with POR-15, then sprayed with Lizard skin sound deadener
  • engine bay and front hatch striped and sprayed with POR-15
  • new slave cylinder suspension, new ball joints with grease fittings
  • new front suspension has upgraded adjustments for caster and camber (by Kirk Evans Amerisport) for ease off adjustment
  • new brass bushing installed in steering rack
  • new billet aluminum rear sway bar brackets
  • new brake lines, stainless steel braided brake lines to caliper, alle calipers are rebuild, new e-brake kit with cabels
  • new Hall Pantera fully adjustable gas shock absorbers with coils
Cooling:
  • new Ron Davis radiator and fans, new radiator grommets and bushings
  • new Pantera-electronics radiator controller
  • all water pipes are upgraded to stainless steel, new body gaskets for tubes
  • new stainless steel polished overflow and pressure tanks, shut off valves installed on heater hoses
  • new major wiring update, that includes all Pantera-electronics upgrades:
  • new air-conditioning pump and all hoses R134-a
Interior:
  • cockpit floor and firewall stripped and sprayed with POR-15, sound deadener panels applied to floor and fire wall
  • new leather on seats, with color matching stitching, kept horse hear inside
  • new rollers for seat slide adjustment
  • new console covering, with color matching stitching
  • new headliner, new carpeting, new kick panels, door jamb scuff pates
  • doors were striped and POR-15 applied on the insides
  • new door mechanisms and window gear with brass, new door guides and strike plates, new body door seals
Tires and wheels:
  • Etoile three piece wheels, painted to match car (now black plasti-dip) new Michelin sport tires
  • NEW (2020) Campagnolo rear wheels and tires (widened custom fit special order)
  • Front and rear ORIGINAL ’72 Campagnolo’s with original tire
  • Front and rear set extreme wide American Racing with tires
Exterior:
  • new plastic headlight gear replaced with brass
  • new SACC restorations rear hatch lift
  • new front trunk seals
  • new rear trunk seals
  • new bumpers for front and rear hatch
  • new windshield
  • new fiberglass door panels, new upholstery applied with color matching stitching
